It’s hard to overstate the importance of the Renault Clio to the French manufacturer. It may frequently get lost in the scrap between the Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa and VW Polo in British supermini group tests, but the Clio has long held an elevated position in the European sales charts.
