Charcoal w/Red interior, 283/245hp, 4-spd manual transmission.
The '58 Corvette is widely recognized as the Solid Axle to own. The car underwent a radical transformation that year which included new body and interior. It was longer by almost 10" and wider by 2" even though the wheelbase stayed at 102". The headlights grew to 4. But, what set the '58 apart from the previous (and future) Corvettes was the "gingerbread". It took the form of chrome trunk spears and a non-functional "louvered" hood. These items proved to be a bit over the top even for 1958! In hindsight, what the buying public didn't want in '58, is now coveted by the buying public in '14!
This stunning example has been frame off restored and features the 245hp, dual carb 283, a 4-spd transmission, power windows and black soft top. It's a fantastic driver in what is one of the prettiest color combinations ever to grace a Corvette; Charcoal w/Silver coves and Red interior! This is a car that you have to see in three dimensions to truly appreciate. They only made 9,168 Corvette's in total and these cars are in high demand! So, do miss your opportunity to own this milestone! Stk #5585
