The BMW E46 is the fourth generation of the BMW 3 Series, which was produced from 1997 to 2006. The body styles of the range are: coupe, sedan, touring, compact and convertible. Six cylinder engines (M52 & M54) are the best for drifting.
While the E30-generation 3-Series has become a sort of colectable, the E46 3-Series has become cheap enough where drifters are starting to adopt the platform as well. It's a bit heavier than the e36, but just as balanced, easily repaired or upgraded. This would be a good low cost entry into the drifting world (one of the best drift cars under 5k). With solid German engineering underpinning every aspect of the car, high performing naturally aspirated engines and great looks it is no big surprise that this is a great drifting platform. If your budget is higher a BMW M3 E46 is a good option, it has a powerful naturally aspirated straight-6 engine (S54B32) and a limited-slip differential (LSD) from factory, perfect for drifting. #Drift #Drifting #E46
